Bio
Rey D is an award winning Bahamian-Canadian recording artist, songwriter and producer.
From a young age music became a part of his life and he always envisioned becoming an artist on his own, but it wasn't until September(2017) when Rey D
finally made the leap to record and release his first single 'Holy Hands.'
Since then, he has released his debut album 'No Failing Faith' and followed that up with the singles 'Loyal' & '4 Love'.
Most recently, he is the winner of the GMA Canada Covenant Awards for Gospel song of the year for 2020 with 'Brought Me Through ft. Owen O'Sound Lee'.
He has also been nominated for the African Nova Scotian Music Association(ANSMA) Artist of the year for 2020 and 2022. He is the winner of ANSMA's Rising Star of the
Year Award for 2019. He is a 5x nominee for the Music New Brunswick Awards, 3x nominee for the GMA Canada Covenant Awards, and a 3x nominee for the
East Coast Music Awards.
Rey D has a style that incorporates multiple genres from Gospel to Rap/Hip-Hop to R&B to Pop to Reggae.

We are pleased to inform you that your next NB AFRO FEST 2019 is scheduled for October 4,5 and 6, in Dieppe NB / Moncton. Once again, we are pleased to partner with the City of Dieppe to organize the 4th Annual New Brunswick Afro Festival.
We will have the pleasure of counting among us great, singers, dancers, painters, African clothing business, African restorers, instrumentalists and a robotics engineer.
Broadway for Bangladesh: Benefit Concert will be Saturday, September 28th at 7pm at the Stone Church in uptown Saint John. This is the first organized fundraiser in Canada for the Gafur Orphanage in Comilla, Bangladesh. Entry will be by donation at the door. We’ve pulled together some great local talent to perform a series of solos and duets. Music will include songs from musicals Hamilton, Waitress, Wicked, Phantom of the Opera, and others, plus some Bengali songs! Please come enjoy some wonderful music and help support the children at Gafur Orphanage. All proceeds will be used towards a new facility for the children. The pre Afro fest is organized every year before the Afro Festival. This year the pre Afro Fest will take place on July 27, 2019 from 5.30 p.m. to 9 p.m. followed by an After party from 9 p.m. to 0 a.m. Our goal is to give a little overview of Afro Fest 2019. It is organized in order to bring together all African cultures to share their cultures with everyone. This evening will be hosted by one of the best African DJs in Canada ( Mour Debadir ). There will be African food prepared by Uchenna M Udeh (Access to his different delicacies on ( www.donthatecauseyouaintate.com), performances and also a fashion show. All of this will be free for everyone. You can make a donation at the entrance. You are invited to come and participate in this event with your family, friends, etc.

HIP HOP’s HOTTEST HUB gives you a chance to sort through that collection of music just sitting on your desktop and showcase your hard work and talent! This is an experience for all skill levels!
Our intention is set to provide a positive environment for artists to connect, build up the Hip Hop scene in Fredericton and to provide an opportunity for networking, growth, development and to further foster the talent coming out of the city and surrounding areas.
